It has been such a great and successful year working on the Riley Lunch Bunch. We have had a lot of successful lunches and we have obtained many business developing qualities. We raised almost $900 overall. We reached out to Mr. Fessler and he congratulated us on the success in our project and told us that he will finish the amount out so that New Palestine High School can be a "Miracle Building". That was our goal in the beginning, so it is a very satisfying feeling after we learned that we have achieved our goal that we created at the beginning of the school year.

This week, Morgan and I have been trying to reach out to restaurants about throwing together a last second Lunch Bunch before the school year is over. We went out to Greenfield and visited Chicago's Pizza and handed them a form about our fundraiser. We are hoping to hear back pretty quickly, but if not, we have other alternative options like our Riley Rummage Sale.
We had another successful Lunch Bunch once again. We were catered by the Chick-fil-a on Southport Road. Emily Garrison was who we communicated with, and she was so nice and easy to speak with. We arrived there at about 10:10 (our pick up time was 10:15) and we were instantly greeted by Miss Garrison. We raised over $100 to go towards our account and we are about $400 short of our overall goal. We hope to figure out a way to finish this out strong and end on New Palestine High School being a "Miracle Building" once again.
At the beginning of our project, Morgan and I had reached out to Chick-Fil-A to talk about a donation from them. After back and forth communication and then a long period without speaking, we found out that the woman that we were talking to had stepped down from her permission. Within the time that we hadn't communicated, we had set up other lunches. Recently, we reached back out to Chick-Fil-A to see if we could look back into a donation and they gladly accepted our request. We now will be providing Chick-Fil-A to the students of NPHS on April 11th, during our Lunch A.
Last Wednesday we held another successful Riley Lunch Bunch. We had City Barbeque donate a full meal to us. They fed 24 people for us. They ended up We had kids come in and take to-go plates, and others came and hung out in the conference room with us. It was a great turn out. We ended up making over $150 to go towards our funding for Riley Children's Hospital. Our overall total for the fundraising is at about $621 and we need to raise over $1100. We are falling short of our goal and we only have a couple months left of school. We hope to plan a couple more and to get a lot of involvement from the students.
We have reached out to City Barbeque, and they agreed to help us out with our Riley Lunch Bunch. We spoke to their boss Emily, and we will be picking up the food from the restaurant at 10:30 and bringing it back to New Palestine High School to serve during B/C lunch. Morgan and I have been busy with the Dress Drive this week, so we were very glad that City Barbeque made it so easy to receive their donation.
We have just returned to school after our winter break. Morgan and I have picked up where we left off on planning our next Riley Lunch Bunch. Our last one was a great success. We raised over $400 and that put us over halfway to our goal of making New Palestine High School a "Miracle Building". We still have many phone calls to make so we can have another successful lunch.
Today, we went and set up our Lunch Bunch for the teachers here at the high school. The O'Charley's in Greenfield donated food to us. They provided chicken tenders, ribs, grilled chicken salad and flavored pies to us. It was a very generous donation that was given to our teachers/faculty here at New Palestine High School. It was just a great sign of appreciation from us to our teachers/leaders. The meal was free to the faculty, but we published that donations were accepted from the food.
Due to lack of communication from local restaurants, we have had an unproductive week working on the Riley Lunch Bunch. We still have our lunch date set for December 6th with O'Charley's out in Greenfield. Their general manager has been super easy to communicate with and definitely supports our fundraiser. We have been looking into other ways to raise money for the kids at Riley Children's Hospital.
This week Morgan and I took a whole period to reach out to to restaurants about more upcoming lunch dates. We set a date for December 6th, and we will be having O'Charley's sponsoring our lunch on that day. They were very easy and welcoming. We also reached out to numerous restaurants (Firehouse Subs, Sugar Creek Brickhouse, Olive Garden, Fazcoli's).
